DIVISION VOCABULARY

Example: in 12 ÷ 3 = 4

  • Dividend- The amount that you want to divide up.   12 is the dividend. 
  • Divisor- The number used to divide by. 3 is the divisor.
  • Quotient– The answer after you divide one number by another. 4 is the quotient.
